spreadfirefox.com not allowed in ymsg status

Recently I’ve read in a post by Cristian Spoiala about Yahoo banning picasaweb.google.com and spreadfirefox.com from Yahoo messenger status.
At first I thought it was just a bug in Yahoo Messenger own client, but this behaviour is also present in Pidgin. I searched the Internet but I couldn’t find anything about this problem.
In case you didn’t know, Firefox is trying to set a Guinness World Record for most software downloads in 24 hours. Be part of this record and download Firefox 3.0 during it’s release day.

It looks like this is a strange problem and even thout “firefox.com” is allowed in yahoo status, the yahoo team has denied their own domain “yahoo.com”. Very strange!

Its actually a bug occurring quite often in Pidgin.
I noticed it several times, that certain types of links just won’t appear as my status…

I tried bith both Pidgin and Yahoo Messenger Windows client… so it is not a pidgin problem.
But I can say that it is not just a problem with spreadfirefox.com
