The Progress of the Romanian Translation Team
Posted by Adi | Filed under English, Free Software, Planet Ubuntu
Hi, this is the second post of a series of reports about the Romanian localization status.
We have finished organizing a wiki section for the localization team, which describes the team role, contains various pages helping us coordinating the work, a translation guide, a starter guide, various templates for emails.
The localization team wiki page can be accessed from the following link (in Romanian):
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RomanianTeam/Proiecte/Localizare
We continue working at translating Ubuntu Desktop Course, but it is progressing slowly. Translation reports can be tracked here (in Romanian):
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RomanianTeam/Proiecte/Localizare/CoordonareCursUbuntu
The localization forum from Romanian Ubuntu Forum was reorganized and now we have a section for finished translation. All threads that are done from sections “To be translated” or
“Needs translations” are going to be moved there.
The forum was as well updated with packages from Intrepid that need translations.
I continue working at GNOME packages from Launchpad, review and sending them upstream to the coordinator of GNOME Romanian translation team. I hope that the other members of the localization team will do the same and send upstream the translation of their favorite applications. We do care about the other distributions and these is the perfect way to show this.
