Launchpad Drupal Plugins in LoCo Drupal 6

Hi,

With the courage and help of Lucian Adrian Grijincu I have managed to install and configure the Launchpad Drupal Plugins for Drupal 6 provided by loco-drupal team. The openid-team modules is working OK and also can be used only with the default Drupal OpenID model. The opneid-launchpad module is not fully functional as I was not able to use the migration feature.

Go download and install the bzr branch and later follow the instructions from Launchpad Drupal Plugins help page.

bzr branch lp:loco-drupal

Basicaly you will need to allow new user registration for everyone and let the Launchpad module to restrict user registration only to Launchpad users.

Launchpad Team module is also working.

Right now I don’t know how to hide the username and password Drupal 6 login form. I don’t know if I can deny user registration for users not assigned in a LP team. I can only deny username/password based login.

Also there is a problem with migrating the username/password based credentials as Launchpad OpenID module will always want to create new account and will not check if the specific Launchpad OpenID is associated with an existing account.

Fantastic! To hide the login from provided by Drupal you probably need to disable the default login block. This is done at Administer -> Build -> Blocks.

No, the beauty of the Launchpad OpenID plugins is that there is no reason for your own site to need a login form. You only add the Login button which is a block in itself. That login goes to Launchpad and does the user login/creation on your site.

It’s entirely automatic. I hope you enjoy these tools. :)
