i18n blocker policy in Ubuntu

For the last Ubuntu release (8.10 Intrepid) we had usb-creator and cruft-remover which were delivered without internationalization support. The i18n support was added later, so we do have them available for translation in Rosetta.

Ubuntu 8.04 on iBook G4

I just got a small iBook G4 12” (late 2004), 1.2 Ghz PPC laptop.
Thinks that make me happy:
full size keyboard.
great power management and battery life
power indicator leds available on the battery (like for the old pc laptops)
in terms of performance, at least for browsing and reading emails it’s ok
Major annoyance:

The Status of the Ubuntu Romanian Localization Team

This is the first post from a series of status updates for the localization activity of the Ubuntu Romanian Localization team.
Right now Ubuntu is translated into Romanian in 27.5 %, with almost all GNOME and configuration utilities translated, including the live cd menu, installation programme and Ubuntu guides.

Azi este prima zi din tabăra FLOSS Camp 2008. Am vorbit de dimineată cu echipa Fedora (Nicu și Andrei) iar ei au ajuns deja la Păltiniș, Jani , Alexandru, precum și băieții de la ArLug fiind și ei pe drum și urmează să ajunga azi. Aici găsiți lista persoanelor participante.
